DWF Labs is thrilled to introduce our latest investment project, Yield Guild Games (YGG), a play-to-earn gaming guild that brings players together to earn via blockchain-based economies. With YGG, we're entering a new era in gaming, one where players can earn real money from playing NFT games like Axie Infinity, The Sandbox, League of Kingdoms, and other blockchain-based game economies.
YGG's community is a global one, and as active players and contributors to the DAO's success, they all share in the earnings and rewards. The community meets on Discord to share ideas and discuss strategies with other guild members and communities across the globe.
YGG's story is an inspiring one, beginning with gaming industry veteran Gabby Dizon lending his own Axies to other Axie Infinity players who couldn't afford to buy their own. This small act of generosity eventually led to the creation of YGG, which aims to onboard millions of people into the play-to-earn revolution. Along with co-founders Beryl Li and Owl of Moistness, we are proud to support YGG's mission and vision.
Moreover, YGG's impact goes beyond gaming. In 2020, YGG funded the award-winning mini-documentary "Play-to-Earn: NFT Gaming in the Philippines," which tells the story of a small community in the rural Philippines that earned a living by playing Axie Infinity during the COVID-19 pandemic. With YGG, we hope to empower more individuals and communities to create another source of income during tough times while doing something they enjoy.
