TOKEN2049 week brought the digital asset industry to Singapore for a concentrated run of conferences, panels, and side events, with DWF Labs across the calendar hosting, speaking, and exhibiting.
This recap covers where and how our team showed up, as well as the insights provided. For our full market insights from the week, read our report, and conference notes here.
DWF Labs Haus
On October 6 2026, we hosted the Singapore edition of DWF Labs Haus. More than 300 founders, investors, protocols, institutions, and ecosystem partners joined us for an evening of conversation and connection.
On-site activations included a gachapon machine, photobooth, merchandise and more.

TOKEN2049 Conference
The Power of Vision
Andrei Grachev, Managing Partner, delivered a keynote on TOKEN2049’s first day, (October 7) called “The Power of Vision.”
He centred his talk on the recurring contest between old incumbents and lean new entrants that ship fast. He pointed to Hyperliquid and Tether as teams that captured uncontested space by removing a single source of friction: centralized custody risk. Copying established players in crowded markets, he argued, earns only marginal share.
His conclusion? Build for where the market is heading, not where it is today. He named real-world assets, AI products, and simple digital payment utilities as areas with one-to-two-year upside and limited downside. TradFi perpetuals, payments, and the convergence of AI and crypto sit on a slightly longer horizon.
Andrei also urged teams to prioritize agility and speed. The market cycles since 2020 and 2021 show that the ability to move quickly in either direction is worth more than any single conviction.

TOKEN2049 Booth
We also exhibited at TOKEN2049, with a booth built around our refreshed brand. It brought our updated design and messaging to the show floor. Meeting potential partners in person is the most valuable part of any conference week.

On stage
CoinferenceX
Stablecoins dominated the week’s panels. As CoinferenceX (October 5), Andrei described the current moment as one of quantity without quality.
New stablecoins launch almost monthly, but liquidity and activity follow a power law. USDT and USDC dominate market capitalization, and transactions concentrate on established chains such as TRON and Polygon. Andrei said the rails already work when value stays on-chain. The open problem is building compliant, standards-aligned on and off ramps worldwide. He named institutional payments as the clearest near-term application, since SWIFT settlement still takes days.

Gamma Prime
At Gamma Prime’s Investing Summit (October 6), Andrei described DWF Labs’ own posture as working across crypto and traditional finance as the two converge. Noting that beyond our core focus on stablecoins, payments and trading infrastructure, we invest in AI infrastructure such as energy and data centers. We also hold resources in reserve to act when market dislocations occur.

Digital Asset Yield Summit
At the Digital Asset Yield Summit (October 6), Lingling Jiang, Partner, discussed what separates durable stablecoins from fragile ones, drawing on Falcon Finance’s approach to USDf. She put transparency first, citing a frequently updated collateral and strategy page. Redemption mechanics and collateral quality, she said, matter most when a stablecoin faces a stress test.
She also argued that stablecoins have moved beyond settlement, and become a demand layer of their own. Assets that traditionally don’t bear yield, such as gold and equities, are coming on-chain offering price exposure, liquidity, and composability in one place.

Cointelegraph Connect
Lingling discussed liquidity and market structure. She called fragmentation structural, not temporary: too many issuers, too many chains, and no consolidated prime brokerage across venues.
She said liquidity incentives and yield farming work only as short-term tools, and that capital allocators have grown more selective. A token, she added, should grow out of a real business, not be engineered ahead of demand.

Closing the week
TOKEN2049 week packed a year’s worth of conversation into a few days. Our team kept returning to three themes: the structure of stablecoin liquidity, the mechanics that keep an asset durable under stress, and the discipline of building toward uncontested markets.
